This PDF file discusses the goal of exegesis and some of its key presuppositions as context within which to list and develop a number of valuable benefits gained from sentence diagramming.

PowerPoint Sentence Diagramming Environment
Note on March 30, 2020: I have uploaded a significant revision to the template that greatly improves vertical alignment between adjacent diagramming symbols. I encourage any who have used an earlier version to download again to get this significant upgrade.
Note on June 1, 2020: I have uploaded another revision that shortens the length of many symbols. In my experience diagramming in this environment, I sensed that I was taking time to shorten well above 50% of the diagramming symbols. I have shortened them enough that I don't think they'll seem excessively long with any but perhaps the shortest words. Lengthening will now be required for numerous words , but I don't think these symbols will need to be lengthened nearly as often as the longer ones needed to be shortened for attractive appearance and space efficiency. I hope that the current length will provide for pretty close to maximum time efficiency.

- Part 2b: A shorter version for people needing little or no PowerPoint instruction
- Part 3: A demonstration of drawing a moderately complex diagram
- Part 4: Converting diagrams to 8.5 x 11 inch page size
- Part 5: Detailed information on how to use and manipulate the various diagramming symbols
Note that these videos do not provide much information about sentence diagramming as such; the information they provide is about how to use the PowerPoint template to create diagrams in electronic form. (For videos on how to diagram, please visit my YouTube channel.) The final two slides of the template are help slides that contains both written instructions and this same list of linked videos, as well as links to the particular spots in the Part 5 video at which each diagramming symbol is discussed.
